CNN —Demands for answers are mounting over the fate of 6-year-old Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab, who became trapped in a car with her dead relatives after it came under Israeli fire in Gaza more than a week ago. “We need to know what has happened to Hind and the PRCS ambulance team,” the PRCS said in their latest statement on X early Tuesday. “So many wonderful things can happen in a week, but for those waiting for news or for information a week is anguish. We’re in the car, the tank is right next to us,” Layan screams, amid intense gunfire in the background. Jerusalem CNN —A Jerusalem court acquitted an Israeli border police officer of “involuntary reckless manslaughter” in the fatal shooting of Eyad al-Hallaq, an unarmed Palestinian man. The defendant was granted anonymity by the court following a request from the Israeli Border Police, according to Khaled Zabarqa, one of the lawyers for the al-Hallaq family. Zabarqa said al-Hallaq had a “special needs” document issued by Israeli National Insurance, a government entity. The victim’s mother, Rana al-Hallaq, told CNN her son didn’t understand or speak Hebrew. The acquitted officer will return to active duty, and participate in a “commander’s course,” according to a Border Police statement released Thursday.

Prosecutors in 2021 filed negligent manslaughter charges in Jerusalem District Court against the policeman. The Israeli justice ministry department, which oversees investigations of the police, said it will decide how to proceed after studying the verdict. The unarmed Halaq ran away, prompting a pursuit in which one officer shot at his legs and missed, after which the defendant fatally shot him in the stomach, the indictment said.

Cei care discriminează femeile care alăptează în public vor putea fi sancționați, iar amenzile ajung până la 2 000 de RON, ceea ce ar însemna aproape 9 000 de MDL. Proiectul de lege a fost votat joi, 3 iunie, de Camera Deputaţillor din România. Interzicerea în orice mod a alăptării unui copil în spaţiul public sau evacuarea din spaţiul public a unei mame care alăptează un copil constituie contravenţie, prevede un proiect de lege adoptat de Camera Deputaţilor din România. Proiectul de lege privind alăptarea în spaţiile publice, adoptat cu 279 de voturi „pentru”şi o abţinere, are ca obiect de reglementare instituirea unor măsuri privind prevenirea discriminării mamelor care alăptează, precum şi combaterea încălcării dreptului la hrană al copiilor. Potrivit proiectului, constituie contravenţii: evacuarea dintr-un spaţiu public a unei mame care are dreptul de a se afla în acel spaţiu şi care alăptează un copil; interzicerea, în orice mod, a alăptării în spaţiile publice a unui copil; refuzul furnizării de servicii unei persoane pentru că alăptează un copil, în condiţiile în care persoana are dreptul de a beneficia de serviciul respectiv, scrie Digi24.

Senatul, în calitate de primă Camera sesizată, a adoptat proiectul de lege, Camera Deputaţilor fiind decizională în acest caz.
